Seal Rocks

We had a terrific time when we went and stayed at a friends house at Seal Rocks. We didn't leave until Saturday morning and we had Kate Geoff and our friend Drew in the car. We met Mike and Stef up there and Ed & Carol and their kids who stayed at the camp ground.

The weather was terrific and the children loved it. It was a bit emotional going back after so long and seeing what a beautiful place it is.

Kath enjoyed it but was so tired from work she slept most of the time.

Kate & Frosty

I have been flying a model plane on Malabar Headland with a club on Sundays and it is really relaxing. The huge headland with ocean views and horses wandering around. Kate and Graeme came with me and fed the horses, especially Kates favourite, Frosty.

Melbourne Cup

Had a great afternoon at Julie W's house. I wore my suit that I got from St Vinnies in 1991 with the velvet collar and won best dressed male!

This is a rather unfortunate self portrait after the event

Lots of elegant women there and a terrific spread of food and wine. My contribution was a rather empty bottle of Grand Marnier. Check out the fashions below.

Kate loves the surprise

I told Kate about the babies after school at dancing and she was over the moon. She and Geoff raced home with Serena to see them - of course they all love them and want to keep them.

Geoff thought they were beautiful and that we should keep them all.

Of course Cecilia was keen to see them, they will make a delicious meal if fed on corn and alphalfa.

And the girls loved them ...

OMG I am a father

Today I went down the backyard and saw on guinea pig on top of each other. Wait its a new guinea pig. Oh we have babies, I thought we had two girls.
Three gorgeous babies exactly the same colouring as their Dad Sophie!

We have had two guinea pigs roaming the backyard for years until one of them died. We got a replacement female called Patches and she had been getting quite fat lately.

Well I gotta say its an amazing process.

Kaths 40th

Kaths 40th was celebrated at home with Suzanne (also 40 this week) and kids, Monica and Kids (Liliy 9 this week) and Cecilia (not going to QLD) Alan and Michele and kids, and my family. Special guest was Janine and her daughter Jenny - surprise visitors from the 1980s I spent ages looking for a present and settled on a 1960s George Jensen siver bracelet. She seemed to love it - certainly looks good on her. Geoff gave her a book - Barak Obamas auot biography Kate gave her Anre Rieus violin pop classics Her mother gave her hemmoeroid cream and some enormous undies! See the video below
